Power UP relaxed morning

Saturday 11 and 18 April 2020 | 08.00 – 10.00

At this hugely popular sensory-friendly session, you’ll be able to play more than 160 consoles, from retro arcade standards through to the latest in VR technology, free from the hustle and bustle of the general public.

We will open the museum doors exclusively at 07.45 and you’ll get access to Power UP between 08.00–10.00. Please note, the rest of the museum will remain closed and won’t be accessible until 10.00, our regular opening time.

Early Birds

Sunday 1 March 2020 | 08.00 – 11.00

Book on to our next Early Birds session on Sunday 1 March. Early Birds is a sensory-friendly event for families with children (ages 4 -15) who need a quieter environment to enjoy the museum.

The theme of this session is Medicine, to pair with tour newly opened Medicine: The Wellcome Galleries. As well as exploring the galleries, you can enjoy a selection of fun workshops.

Doors will open at 08.00 and activities will run until 11.00.Book now – Early Birds

Audio Described Tours

Available to book now

Visually impaired, partially sighted or blind visitors can now take audio-described tours of our most popular galleries. Our volunteer guides deliver a regular programme of audio-described tours of our permanent galleries including Exploring Space, MathematicsInformation Age and Flight

If you would like to plan an audio-described tour, please contact the volunteer team at least three weeks before your visit so that a volunteer guide can be arranged.
